Year in Review 2020

Who would've thought that starting the year by stepping on poop would be such a good omen?

It was a tough year though; I won't lie.
It was hard to be away from family, specially since we moved back to Portugal. Even though artists are used to be indoors, this was a freaking long March and for some reason I have Rembrandts stuck in my mind:
"It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month
Or even your year, but..
"

Back to the poop stepping, it was clear it was working it's magic when I reach out to Paizo and a few weeks later I was working with them.

It was a dream come true actually. Pathfinder has been a major inspiration since the beginning of my art career.

From then on I have been blessed with constant work and it feels great to be back. I’ve actually never done so much work in a year.

I’m aware it's small but you're not suppose to see it yet.

Looking back at the list of realizations, I now start to notice a pattern, every year I write 12 and fail 3... Maybe I should aim for 15 a year.

Now what to be grateful:

  • My amazing wife (there’s just too many things to be grateful about her)

  • My family

  • I got to work in amazing IP's with amazing people.

  • Take time to rest

  • Wrote more

  • Learned new hobbies (finally know how to juggle hehe)

  • ...

Last but not least, as I've said in a prior post, there is Shagmouth.

It started in January as a secondary project to fill some lacks i had in my portfolio, but as always... I went overboard with it.

But I guess I can put it out there that I'm planning in releasing a book of it.

You see, my IP Silver Giant, would be nothing without your support, and it's with your support that I can to continue to develop this IP even further.
It will take a while till everything’s ready, but I really hope to be able to release it next year.

With this I end the year,

I hope your journey was as full of bumps as mine was because most of us tend to fall asleep in highways.

Big hug, Ink
